Danville, CA – The Danville Area Chamber is a proud partner with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District and believes that our youth represent the future and entrepreneurial spirit of our community.

Evidence of this belief is the fact that the very first Danville Area Chamber of Commerce website was built by students who lived within our community.

We believe in giving back and so do our members. Today, we are launching our 2022 College Scholarship Program. This program is now open to students thinking of a career in business or entrepreneurship.

Eligible students must live within the footprint of the Danville Area (Alamo, Blackhawk, Danville or Diablo) and / or have a parent or family member who is a member-in-good-standing of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce. The deadline for students to apply for the College Scholarship Program is Friday, May 20, 2022.

“As we emerge from the pandemic, we are offering more in-person as well as virtual content and programs for our members and the greater Danville community. One initiative we’re excited to start again is our College Scholarship Program, supporting our community’s youth who may be looking for pathways to become entrepreneurs. We believe the future is brighter when we can give students the opportunity to achieve their dreams,” said Darren Matte, Chair of the 2022 Scholarship Program and Board Member of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Four (4) College Scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded to students planning to attend a four year college or university or a two-year community college.

“We know that students will have choices when they graduate from college. Whether they decide to re-locate back home after college or spread their wings elsewhere, they will always be a part of the community fabric that makes the Danville Area such a special place. This is our opportunity to be a part of their entrepreneurial journey,” said Judy Lloyd, President & CEO of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce.
