Danville Area Chamber of Commerce Fund

The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce Fund is a fiscally sponsored fund at the Three Valleys Community Foundation (3VCF), established to support charitable and educational activities that support the greater good in our community.

On November 2, 2023, we held a Gala Dinner, Breaking the Silence – Reinforcing Our Commitment to Youth/Mental HealthThe event shined a spotlight on youth mental health and addiction.

With the help of our Master of Ceremonies, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District Chief Paige Meyer, local philanthropist David Behring, and our 2022 Board Chair, Glenn Bittner, the Chamber honored four organizations focused on helping youth in the Danville Area.

Each organization received a complimentary video tribute from the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce Fund to promote their good work.

Youth Mental Health Outreach Initiative

In 2023, the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce continues to educate the public in partnership with government, businesses and non-profits to sustain our vibrant, healthy local economy throughout the San Ramon Valley and Tri-Valley region.

Since the pandemic, we’ve seen our economy grow and become more diverse, inclusive, innovative, and sustainable. But to be truly be sustainable, our community must also be healthy.

While our region thrives in a myriad of areas, there are hidden challenges. Addictions – such as social media, drugs and vaping, as well as post-pandemic mental health issues remain, with our youth among the most vulnerable.

On May 15, 2023, we held an educational workshop at the San Ramon Valley Unified School District Boardroom called The Fentanyl Crisis – How to Save a Life.

 Women’s Enterprise Initiative

The Women’s Enterprise Initiative is a transformative leadership and mentoring program created by the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce. The focus of the initiative in 2023-2024 is to mentor, educate and train women business owners and their employees on topics relevant to their business, including financial planning, project management, marketing, community service, and business governance.

Our goal is for female entrepreneurs and professionals to gain new skills and connections with community leaders and peers that enable them to thrive in their industries and serve as driving forces of economic growth and diversity in our region.

We embrace inclusivity, welcoming participants of all genders, while specifically championing diverse female entrepreneurs in growth industries such as technology, retail, service, hospitality, restaurant, health, wellness, finance, and professional services.
