 f the highlights each year for the Danville Area Chamber is its State of t
 he Town and Community Awards. This year’s ceremony took place virtually 
 on Zoom as well as in-person at the Veterans Memorial Building. Master of 
 Ceremonies Mike Copeland of Alive Magazine had the perfect mix of comic ti
 ming and professional vision to keep the program moving and fun.\nBut that
 ’s not all! Mayor Renee Morgan demonstrated her creativity and flair wit
 h a five-minute music video\, complete with dance moves from Town Councilm
 embers and cameo appearances from local businesses in Danville.\nWe want t
 o congratulate our Community Awards Winners. These businesses and leaders 
 represent the mothers\, fathers\, shop owners and citizens who fought to m
 ake it through the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.\n\nBusinessperson of the Year

 \nCitizen of the Year – Marcia Harmon\, Cottage Jewel\nNon-Profit of the
