Our Ambassadors are the public relations arm of the Chamber membership. They make members feel welcome, give the Chamber recognition at public gatherings, greet new businesses into the community, promote the Chamber’s interests and goals, and get people involved in Chamber functions. In short, they do those things which may come under the general heading of “Public Relations”.

In 2016, Uday and his wife Nisha decided to become entrepreneurs combining their skills. Nisha who loves to experiment with flavors in the kitchen and Uday with his business experience decided to open Smallcakes in Danville which as a licensee allowed Nisha to experiment flavors, products. It also provided them an outlet to give back to the community they love by donating to first responders, nurses, teachers and homeless shelters in the area. Uday has been engaged with philanthropic activities in India working with NGOs to help orphans, fishermen and others in need.
Uday earned his Master’s in Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut and has a Bachelors in Engineering degree from Mysore University in India. Uday lived in Michigan, Connecticut before moving to San Ramon 14 years ago with his wife. He enjoys the outdoors, travelling, trying new cuisines, loves gardening, hanging out with his wife and their two kids and friends.

My “why” became very clear in 2001 and again in 2008/2009 when I lost my 30 years of retirement savings due to the stock market decline. Thus, my mantra has been “what happened to me should never never ever happen to anyone else”.

After all it is the home of your life, not mine! I have been practicing design for over 25 years, am a Certified Interior Designer, have the Diamond Certification, and share my passion for design with my students at UC Berkeley as a part-time instructor.
Why do I love the Chamber? Because it has been the most influential factor in the growth of my business.
