Alamo

Alamo is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Contra Costa County, California, in the United States. It is a suburb located in the San Francisco Bay Area’s East Bay region, approximately 28 miles (45 km) east of San Francisco. Alamo is equidistant between the city of Walnut Creek and the town of Danville. As of the 2010 census, the population was14,750.

Alamo Municipal Advisory Council (MAC)
The Alamo Municipal Advisory Council is comprised of seven members that serve as an advisory body to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors and the County planning agency. Members are appointed to the council by the Board of Supervisors to serve the unincorporated area of Alamo.

MAC responsibilities include parks and recreation, lighting and landscaping, land-use and code enforcement, public safety, transportation and other county services.

Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Alamo Women’s Club 1401 Danville Boulevard.
