Danville Area Chamber of Commerce Launches 2024 College Scholarship Program

Students in High Schools in Danville Area footprint are encouraged to apply

Danville, CA – The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce is a proud partner with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District on our 2024 College Scholarship Program. We believe our youth represent the future and entrepreneurial spirit of our community.

Evidence of this belief is the fact that the very first Danville Area Chamber of Commerce website was built by students who lived within our community.

Our members who have generously contributed to our scholarship program believe in giving back to our youth. Today, our 2024 College Scholarship Program is now open to students thinking of a career in business or entrepreneurship.

Eligible students must live within the footprint of the Danville Area (Danville or San Ramon Valley communities) or have a parent or family member who is a member-in-good-standing of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce. The deadline for students to apply for the College Scholarship Program is Friday, May 10, 2024.

“The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce believes that for our community to thrive, we must make an investment in our youth. One initiative we’re excited to offer is our College Scholarship Program, supporting our community’s youth who may be looking for pathways to become entrepreneurs. We believe the future is brighter when we give students the opportunity to achieve their dreams,” said Shayna Ronen, Chair of the 2024 Scholarship Program and Board Member of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce.

College Scholarships of a minimum of $1,000 each will be awarded to students planning to attend a four-year college or university or a two-year community college.

“Students will have choices when they graduate. Whether they decide to re-locate back home after college or spread their wings elsewhere, they will always be a part of the community fabric that makes the Danville Area such a special place. This is our opportunity to be a part of their entrepreneurial journey,” said Judy Lloyd, President & CEO of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce.
