Health & Wellness Day on the Green

Saturday, October 14 | 11am – 3 PM

The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us for our inaugural Health & Wellness Day on the Green.

Offered in partnership with the Town of Danville, our Health & Wellness Day is an opportunity to enjoy a fun day on the Town Green celebrating health, wellness, fitness & Danville’s outstanding quality of life.

Featured celebrity guests include Brodie Brazil, Host of the Oakland A’s & Sharks Pre-game and Post-game Live on NBC Sports California.

The Town of Danville’s Recreation, Arts, & Community Services team will be on hand and will offer an on-site demo for families.

We’ll also be hosting a “live” performance from Next Step Dance Studio, led by the amazing Lori Buffalow and her contemporary performing dance teams.

Alyssa Nakken

Alyssa Nakken made history in January 2020 when she became the first full-time female coach in Major League Baseball, joining the coaching staff of the San Francisco Giants. A former softball standout at California State University, Sacramento, Nakken played first base for the Hornets and was a three-time All-Conference selection. After completing her playing career, she earned a master’s degree in sport management from the University of San Francisco. Nakken’s journey with the Giants began in 2014, initially working on health and wellness initiatives. Her role quickly expanded, reflecting her capabilities both in player development and fostering clubhouse chemistry. A trailblazer in her field, Nakken has become a symbol of breaking barriers in professional sports, advocating for inclusivity and diversity in sports leadership.
